FAQs
Is the programme personalised?
This programme offers generalised tips designed to improve overall chances of conception. It is not a bespoke service, however it does give you the tools to implement changes in diet, lifestyle & your environment to significantly improve egg/sperm health and prepare the body for a successful pregnancy
I’m working with a fertility clinic, can I do this course alongside?
Absolutely. This is the perfect course to work in synergy with your IVF journey and maximise your chances of success. Gail has extensive experience working with clients going through assisted reproductive procedures and all advice is designed to support this process.
I’m on prescription medicines, can I do this course?
This course really focuses on nutrition and lifestyle tips to aid fertility. However, we will be looking at a top line overview in to supplements that can be beneficial when trying to conceive. It is not recommended to take any form of supplementation whilst on prescription medicines without consulting with a primary healthcare provider first. We will be offering an add on opportunity for a mini 1-2-1 consultation with a nutritional therapist to supply a bespoke supplement plan. Within this we will be able to advise around your specific medications and potential interactions
Can my partner join the course?
Absolutely, we encourage this. Your partner can join all calls at no additional cost. The course will identify nutrition & lifestyle advice for both females and males. Making a baby requires two people, so it’s beneficial that both parties are involved and educated around steps they can take to improve chances of conception
Can I join the course if I follow a vegetarian or vegan diet?
Yes. All nutrition tips & recipes take in to consideration a vegan approach and we actually encourage eating a more plant based diet.
Do I have to follow specific recipes or can I create my own?
No, the course is designed to educate you on nutritional choices and will give you the tools to be able to build your own healthy, balanced meals. There will be recipes included in the programme, but these are there for inspiration
Will I be suggested supplements on this course?
Without having a 1-2-1 private consultation we cannot give bespoke supplement protocols. We will however be touching on some beneficial supplements that could be included in your day to day routine. We advise opting for the additional supplement support consultation so we can look at your specific requirements and make tailored suggestions
Can I incorporate a fertility diet in to my family life or will I need to create individual meals for myself?
Yes, the nutrition tips we advise are geared towards boosting fertility, but ultimately they will improve both you and your families overall health. There is no advice that would be detrimental to anyone not trying to get pregnant.
Will you give personalised advice around testing and interpret results?
In week 5 we will discuss some testing options that could be relevant to you, however these tests are not included in the price. If you decide to do any of the testing privately, we can offer interpretation and tailored nutrition plans at an additional discounted fee.
