Concerned you have a hormonal imbalance?

What are the symptoms of a female hormone imbalance?

  • There's a broad range of symptoms: Irregular/heavy/no periods, mood swings, anxiety, fatigue, acne, cramping, bloating, PCOS, infertility, acne, endometriosis, poor sleep, breast tenderness, fibroids, cravings, irritability, tearfulness, depression, or weight gain (especially around the middle)

What causes a hormonal imbalance?

  • Often it is due to an excess of oestrogen circulating in the body. It is then exacerbated by lifestyle factors such as diet, stress and environmental toxins.

What happens if I don't fix my hormonal imbalance?

  • Day to day, this can feel you leaving poorly, fatigued and unlike yourself - and no one enjoys feeling like this.

  • Long term, it can lead to anxiety, depression, scarring from acne, worsening symptoms, PCOS and in fertility issues.

I think I live a healthy lifestyle, yet my symptoms are still there!

  • This is the most frustrating part of a hormone imbalance. As if managing a menstrual cycle isn't enough, maintaining a healthy lifestyle can seem like such a challenge in our busy lives. But don't worry, there are so many factors that can affect our hormones and everyone is unique.

  • At The Natural Balance we take a holistic approach to balancing hormones, but we also lean on supplements and testing (such as blood and stool) to identify any other underlying factors.

Is it possible to get rid of a hormone imbalance?

  • Yes, it absolutely is possible to improve your symptoms!

  • In most cases, symptoms completely disappear which inspires so many of my patients to maintain these positive lifestyle changes.

How long does it take to improve?

  • It depends on the severity of your symptoms, how long you have had them for and how well you stick to the protocols. But generally you will start to see some big improvements in just a few weeks. However, as we approach treatment from a naturopathic, natural and holistic mindframe, it usually takes around 4-6 months to really eradicate all the symptoms

"I went to see Kelly to help me with the testing side effects of my endometriosis, which was had to grapple with by myself. She was so great at identifying the things that were impacting on me, and helping me make the changes I needed to feel better that were also so easy to stick with too. I am now feeling so much better and have Kelly to thank!" - Lily

"I thought I had a pretty healthy diet before, however Kelly opened by eyes to the fact I wasn't eating enough to allow my body to detox itself and I was eating things that were making my pains and symptoms worse! I now eat substantial, filling meals which keep me full, fill me with energy and help reduce my symptoms. I no longer get pains in the run up to my period, the pains during my period have significantly reduced, my skin is so much better, I don't experience PMS anywhere near to the extent that I used to and I'm so much happier in myself" - Charlotte
